Not gravity but ‘intelligent falling’
I think they’re joking…
“Things fall not because they are acted upon by some gravitational force, but because a higher intelligence, ‘God’ if you will, is pushing them down,” said Gabriel Burdett, who holds degrees in education, applied Scripture, and physics from Oral Roberts University.
But it had me worried for a moment…

I believe, though I might be wrong, but I think the case is that they still don’t really know how gravity works.

You’re correct. That it works - and the way it works - is known. But the agency between attractor and attractee are not well understood. If I remember correctly there’s some notion of particle exchanges between the two - musons, besons (I’m almost certainly spelling these things wrong).
If I weren’t on holiday I’d look these things up…
