Interesting that the London bombings may be turning out to be the jihadi equivalent of fouling in your own back yard.

Labour’s naked opportunism means they know that they now - finally - need to get tough with the Muslim fanatics they previously were quite happy for us to host lest the electorate finally awaken from its stupor and gets tough with Labour instead. So now with talk about breathing life into the treason laws and investigating people like Bakri for crimes against the state it seems the atrocities in our capital might be backfiring on the very people who plan and support them in the first place.

One of his associates, Anjem Choudary, said Bakri had left because he was unable to practice his religion here. His family - which includes his seven children - remain in this country.

Bakri - who has stated that he would not help the police if he knew of more planned bombings - has left the UK for Lebanon. Bakri celebrated the deaths of British soldiers in Iraq and told his supporters that they were at war with Britain.

In the meantime, the British taxpayer has kept Bakri and his family on welfare for the last 18 years and generously bought him a £31,000 Ford Galaxy under the Motability scheme.

Whatever happens, I am convinced of one thing. All this toughness - if it actually materialises - will be short-lived. A year from now expect there to be religious fanatics operating as free as ever from our capital city, plotting the overthrow of foreign governments and acts of treason against our own.
